"Aggie Highway" State Highway 249
The scope of this study is approximately 15 miles of State Highway 249 from Farm to Market Road 1774 at FM 149 in Pinehurst to FM 1774 at Todd Mission. The first segment of the so-called “Aggie Highway” is expected to be completed in the spring of 2021. The 24 mile expansion of State Highway 249 will eventually connect the Brazos Valley to Houston. Part of it will be a toll road. A new overpass crossing FM 1774 is taking shape. The entire project will be ready for drivers by fall of 2022.

Last weekend in October
Take a night-time guided tour at Navasota’s historic Oakland Cemetery. Actors will portray the founding families of Navasota and Grimes County weaving tales about how their personal lives and businesses intersected. Each year different families are chosen with a different theme.
